What is a Family Petition Going to Cost?

Here's a breakdown of all the forms and their associated costs.  I didn't list things like photos, but you'll need those.  Often times I have clients get their fingerprints and an FBI background check.  I haven't included that in this estimate either.  Here's the overall picture for an immediate family member (spouse, parent, etc.).

Form I-130

$355
Form I-485 (if your immediate relative is in the United States already)
$930.00
Biometric fees (for those under 79 yrs)
$80.00
Form G-325 Biographical information

I-693 – a medical exam done by an authorized civil surgeon.   Go to the doctor, pay for the exam (not covered under most insurances), and DO NOT OPEN THE EXAM envelope for any reason.  It must be sealed.
$300.00 (estimated payment to doctor)
I-864 affidavit of support with proof of income at least 125% of federal poverty guideline for your household size.

I-765 Application for Employment Authorization (if wanted).

Estimated cost per immediate relative
$1665.00
Estimated cost for both parents
$3330.00
